About the role
Due to continued success, a large hospitality chain based in Longbenton are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to work within their team on a permanent basis.
This is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This position offers the opportunity for hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

You will be responsible for:
Entering sales data into Sage200
Weekly input and reconciliation of bank statements
Reconciling balance sheet accounts
Posting weekly cash expenses
Assisting with month-end tasks including stock and accruals
You will be working within an experienced accounting department, providing you with the opportunity to develop your existing accounting abilities in a new setting. The culture of this team emphasises support and development. You will be joining a team of various backgrounds and ages.
Your skills will be centered around the ability to prioritise your workload, attention to detail, strong numeracy skills, professionalism and most importantly, teamwork. We are looking for a candidate with previous experience working in an accounting environment, with detailed knowledge of accounting procedures, processes and legislation. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Sage 200, but this will be taught. AAT support may be considered upon the completion of the probationary period.
