Applications Delivery Lead
Newcastle – Hybrid
Salary between £50,000 and £55,000 (depending on experience)
One of our leading Client's Global IT Platforms and Applications services has end to end accountability for the design, delivery, and support of all consumer digital and business applications enabling their global commercial, operational and enterprise business process.
The IT Platforms and Applications Team has recently expanded providing support and delivery for a suite of consumer digital applications driving business growth in their our direct-to-consumer markets. The IT Platforms and Applications Team is one of five core functions within Global IT. Their platforms and applications are arranged into investment and development focus areas including Product Experience Management, Consumer Digital, Connected Product and Services, Data & Analytics and Business Information supporting: New Product Development, Sales Forecasting, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance & Compliance and Digital Workplace.
As Applications Delivery Lead, reporting to the IT Platforms and Applications Manager, you will be responsible for our consumer digital platforms and applications.
Role Responsibilities:
• Support the development of the consumer digital applications strategy, roadmap, and annual operating plan.
• Provide oversight on key applications transformation projects initiation through to successful handover into live.
• Support the development of business use case and supporting business case for investment in new applications and existing systems upgrades or enhancements.
• Responsible for Training Needs Analysis and Training Strategy for consumer digital applications ensuring sustained usage and uptake.
• Be the subject matter expert for all consumer digital applications, data integrations, architecture, and portfolio, providing high level technical advice.
• Responsible for generation of Applications Ml reports, including key critical KPl's and metrics, on the delivery performance IN LIVE including highlighting trends to help with effective strategic/tactical decision making and continual service improvement.
• Ensure adherence to incident management process, both internal and external.
• Responsibility for major incident management and leadership.
• Maintain critical platform and applications service in live documentation, to include ownership responsibilities, service and operational level agreements, standard operating procedures, applications architecture and supporting integrations.
• Working with finance colleagues to provide clear and accurate management of consumer digital applications and service license renewals and costs.
• Management of 3rd development agency work allocation, tracking of all deliverables and time spent.
• Develop and maintain a backlog of requested feature enhancements.
• Working with Product Owners, Technical Architects and Operations to ensure the right solutions are developed and implemented successfully.
• Providing IT Delivery guidance and support to Business Stakeholders and Product Owners.
Required Skills and Experiences:
• Experience of developing on E-commerce or CRM large-scale systems and applications.
• Experience with Adobe Commerce (Magento 2), e-CRM Platforms, Payment service provider platforms, e-commerce edge platforms and integrations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Anticipates project needs before they arise; prioritises multiple tasks effectively.
• Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies.
• Good knowledge of application management operational best practice (ITIL V3 Service Operations), including change control and management.
• Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience of building and managing Agile development teams.
• Experience of working with collaboration tooling such as Jira, Confluence, MS Teams.
• Experience of working with enterprise-scale delivery partners as well as niche vendors.
• Experience of working with globally distributed, diverse teams.
• Strong experience of planning backlogs of requirements across multiple platforms and vendors.
• Experience in solution documentation, along with business process definition, design, and training.
• Excellent knowledge of application management operational best practice (ITIL V3 Service Operations).
• End-to-End e-commerce operational infrastructure experience (including order fulfilment).
• Experience with Adobe Campaign (eCRM platform).
