About the role
We have an outstanding opportunity for a Head of Reception, working for one of the North’s most prestigious Barristers’ Chambers in Newcastle. This is an exciting position which has been newly created, working full-time in the office.
As Head of Reception you will be the first point of contact for the business, to all clients and members both in person, also via phone and email. It is important that you are polite, and able to communicate with people at all levels, and confident in dealing with clients and members with professionalism and tact. There are also duties relating to events management and meeting room coordination, organising mini-pupilages, and also ownership of the marketing CRM and email marketing material.
This is a varied role, and perfect for a receptionist a few years’ into their career who are looking to progress.
Key Responsibilities:
To undertake all Reception and certain admin duties, with special responsibilities for the smooth running of ‘front of house’, including being first point of contact for the business via telephone, e-mail, and visitors.
Ensuring that all enquiries are recorded, passed to the appropriate authority, and answered as promptly as is possible, through a courteous and professional manner.
Ensuring the reception area, waiting rooms and conference/ client meeting rooms are kept in the best condition, including exterior to the building.
Control access to building and car parks.
Deal with visitors promptly, professionally and with courtesy.
Offer refreshments to waiting clients and visitors.
Co-ordinate mini pupillages.
Co-ordinate meeting room allocation and chambers events.
Marketing - you will be part of the Marketing/ BDM Committee, and have responsibility for cleansing and maintaining the marketing CRM, alongside sending out marketing materials via email.
About you:
Ideally from a Legal/ Professional Services background, with experience of managing front of house.
Good time management skills and organised.
Excellent communicator, both verbally and written.
Well-presented.
Resilient and discreet.
Ideally some CRM Marketing and Events Management experience.
