A large, well-known, organisation in the North East is looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team, based in South Shields.

This role has a salary of up to £45,000 and involves hybrid working.

The role:
Support and assist the Financial Controller to provide a comprehensive management accounting
service to the Group.
Your key duties will include:
Production of the management accounts and business performance reports for Business
Areas, Management Team and Board Meetings
Preparation/development of dashboard type reporting on a monthly basis
Presentation, discussion and interpretation of financial performance
Support Business Areas in the production of budget and forecasts
Develop and improve budgeting, forecasting and reporting of repairs expenditure
Support the Commercial team in the financial analysis of commercial opportunities and report on business won, via CRM report (eg Salesforce)
Provide accounting support to the wider business as required, including grant claims, pension schemes and improvement projects
Support Financial Accountants with statutory reporting requirements and other ad hoc tasks
Assist in the day to day management of the maintenance and development of the management accounting system
Ensure that P&L data derived from subsidiary systems/interface is recorded accurately, including stock, payroll, revenue data, etc
What you need:
Qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA)
Experience in the production of management accounts and subsequent variance analysis
Experience in the production of budgets / forecasts
Knowledge of financial and accounting procedures, legislation and policies.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse and interpret complex financial and activity information and queries
Excellent IT skills, including MS Office and financial ledger systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships, both internally and externally
Organisational skills and the ability to coordinate a range of duties and meet tight deadlines
