​Ray Williamson is an experienced head-hunter with over 20 years’ experience. He has been involved in the recruitment of Chief Executives, Board & Non-Executive Directors, Managing Directors, and Chairs across many of today’s leading industries. Ray graduated with a CIPD Advanced Degree in Human Resources. He is a qualified Senior HR Practitioner, REC Qualified, a SHL qualified Psychometric testing coach and trained in assessment centre design.

​Experience and Track Record

Ray's experience covers Infrastructure, Utilities, Transport, Local Government, Housing, Health, Education, Private and the Voluntary Sectors both in the UK and overseas. Additionally, Ray has worked at project level within FMCG and the Food & Drinks Industry and has written internal Recruitment Processes, delivered senior board and operational level Directors together with HR Outplacement Services for some of the leading companies in the UK.

In addition to traditional retained executive search campaigns, Ray has extensive experience across Strategic Estates Management: Health & Safety; Building Services Design, Space Management & Social Housing Regeneration and Facilities projects and works to engage and attract 'industry leading' professionals from both private and public sectors, and works to engage and attract these individuals into leadership roles.

Ray has recruited some of Scotland's highest-profile executive and senior leadership roles in recent years including:

  • Social Housing - Leadership appointments including Managing Director, Asset & Repairs Director, Executive Group Director DLO

  • Higher Education - Head of HSEQ, Head of Facilities Management, Assistant Director of Estates & Buildings

  • National Government Bodies - CEO

  • The Arts - Partnership work including an Estates Operations restructure campaign to appoint the Director of Estates, Assistant Directors of Campus Operations, Head of Space Planning & Moves Management, Head of Building Operations (Hard FM)

  • Public Sector national Bodies - Roles including, Commercial Contract Lead, FM Category Specialists, Head of Procurement and Technical Design Manager

A proud family man, in his spare time Ray makes a valuable contribution to his local community where he has been a volunteer Chairing Panel member for Children’s Hearings Scotland for over 5 years
