About the role
One of the North East’s largest and most reputable housing providers is looking to appoint a Senior Support Worker to work at their office in the Sunderland area.
This is a full-time role working 37 hours a week across Monday to Saturday, with flexible and hybrid working available. This position is offered on an FTC basis for 6 months.
The purpose of this role is to lead the oversee the housing support team in delivering excellent and responsive housing services.
About the role:
You will be managing a team of project workers to deliver customer and housing services to families facing homelessness
Collaborate with colleagues and to identify service improvements in line with good practise
Oversee all staffing related matters including workload planning, appraisals, performance, and Health and Safety
Ensure all staff on team are properly supported and trained to perform their duties effectively
Attend meetings as necessary
Deliver services in line with core values and budget
Experience of housing management practise, ideally a housing qualification
Sound knowledge of safeguarding and experience of working with families who may demonstrate challenging behaviour
Experience of managing and leading a housing team including performance management
Excellent people skills- both written and verbal
Full current driving license with access to a car insured for Business use
